There is a 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe for sale. It has 60k miles. The dealer ’s asking price is $16,995. I will be purchasing the car with Cash. What is ac acceptable offer? How low can I offer?

Q: When To Buy The Infiniti G35?
Well, i know i asked a question about the car already but i just wanted to know, if it would be cheaper to buy the car now during this season or wait til christmas for maybe a christmas sale and because the G35 coupe is RWD and maybe people won’t be looking at it too much becuase it’s not meant for the snow. Just a thought. Any suggestions? Best time to buy a car? Help, Please. Thanks. :-D .

A: The best time to buy an infiniti G35 is at the end of the month. That is the time when the sales people are trying to reach their quota and are willing to make deals.

Q: Best way to sell 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe?
I’m selling my 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe in the NYC area. Need to get a decent price to pay off the loan. What’s the best way to sell to get the best price? Ebay, online (KBB, Edmunds, etc), or just putting a for sale sign in the window? And is there a way to sell on Ebay for a set price & not at auction? Thanks.
It’s a 2004, not 2005. Made a mistake in the question.

A: My husband owns a 05 or 06 not to sure….but anyway, he’s in this car club that has a website on G35DRIVER.COM….

Not to sure if you are aware of this but he tells me about these good deals from people selling other g’s and other brand cars on the site….I have only checked it out to look at a few pictures so I can’t really point you into the right direction besides telling you to go to the site and click on the g35driver.com sign and you should read the banners and go from there….

But he has had his for a while and the club he’s in has meets and happy hour and they buy and sell there stuff on there as I’m told….

If that doesn’t work try Autotrader….or Ebay but I would only do a private listing and then do in state pick-up…..

Hope this little info helps…

Q: G35 coupe, nissan 350Z for sale?

Q: What should the discount be if I purchase a car in cash?
I was interested in buying the 2007 Infiniti G35 and I went to the dealership last week. After telling to the manager that I would purchase the car in cash (check), he said that the best he could do was lower the price from $36,750 to $36,500 with 6 free oil changes. I told the manager that I will come next week.

1)
What discount or deal should the he offer me, if any?
I told him to offer me the same deal if I come back.

2) Is the deal he gave me good, or should I wait for some major holidays or nationwide Infiniti sales/discounts?

Thank you very much!!

A: I ran a 2007 G35 Coupe through edmunds.com, and it said that the typical price people are paying is $500 BELOW INVOICE. They listed a dealer incentive for $2500, which means the dealer receives that money if the car is sold, so there’s no reason you should be paying more than the invoice price for this car (it is good until the end of November).

The sedan did not have this incentive, so it will be more, but it is still listed about about $1,700 below MSRP ($1,300 above invoice). If you’re looking at a sedan, it might not be a bad idea to wait until they go on sale.

Either way, you are getting screwed. If you’re looking at a coupe, print out the pricing report at edmunds.com and take it to the dealership. Try other dealerships as well if you cannot talk them down, and next time if they ask about financing, tell them you secured financing from an outside source, not that you’re paying cash. If you’re looking at a sedan, I’d consider waiting as long as they have a significant amount in stock.

Good luck.

Q: need a new car so 2007 civic coupe vs 2004 infiniti g35 coupe?
i am looking to buy a new car as i am driving an acura mdx 2002 currently for sale and i am looking to replace it with a coupe car always wanted to have one of those,
anyways so i narrowed it down between these 2 (which by the way are about the same cost)
the used g35 coupe has 55000 miles on it with navigation and automatic
i live in saint louis,so there is some snow in the winter
i know there is a mpg difference between them that it is why i am leaning toward the civic
but the g35 is a way better car
i just need help to rationalize my decision ,thank you

A: get the civic. remember, gas will be $5~6/gal next summer, if not sooner. And the civic will hold it value better than the g35.

Q: Is this a good deal for a G35?
http://daphne-auto-sales.ebizautos.com/detail-2006-infiniti-g35_coupe-2dr_cpe_auto-used-5212599.html

Just let me know what you think about it thanks. Hard to find infinities under 20k in good shape.
Sweet. Appreciate the feedback guys.

A: I don’t think this is a good deal. Here are several G35s – 2006 for under 15000 dollars.

Q: What would be a good price on a used 2007 Infiniti G35?
I am planning on purchasing a 2007 used Infiniti G35 and I am wondering what the best, or rather, lowest possible price I can get one for. Some models I’ve been looking at have a range of $28K~$29K (before taxes) with low mileage (under 10~15,000) and some premium options (sunroof, sports package, I guess everything except for navigation). Considering the new G37 model has been out for a while, and the US is going through a slump in car sales, I was wondering what price I can talk the dealership down to. I am also putting down a down payment of $6K. If you are in this industry, Id love some feedback. Thanks in advance.

A: Unless you are willing to buy a vehicle with a salvage title (usually no financing is available) you will pay $27K-$29K depending on the options, mileage, color, the area of the country you live in, etc. You can probably save $10K-$12K on a rebuild with a salvage title.

If you can find a private party sale, you can probably save $1500 over the $27K-$29K but they are hard to find on one year old vehicles.

All your rationalizations of why you think they should cost less have already been considered if they have any validity.

Q: Should I buy this car?
I called up a local used car dealer, after seeing a 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe for sale in his lot. He told me about the car, he told me that it has only 25k miles, fully loaded only for $13,000. Then he tells me the car has moderate water damage only upto the bottom of the seat. Also I checked Kelly Blue Book, and it said this car should be around $23,000. So thats about $10,000 in savings. Should I buy this car? And if you say I should go and check it out, what should I specifically look for to see if this car is alright?

A: Look everywhere possible for water damage. dampness, rust, corrosion, water leaks, oil leaks, coolant leaks. Best to take a mechanic with you so you can access all electrical switches and connections including fuse boxes, door hinges, windows, etc. Anything with an electric motor. Best to consider a 50% to 75% dis assembly of everything in the driveline including AT, A/C, Catalytic Converter, U-joints, windows, and accessories. Do you know how long the car was under water? Be prepared for the worst.

Q: Help in buying car: 2008 VW R32 or 2007 G35 Coupe?
Hi, I need help in buying my next car. I am going to purchase either car as used, but I cant make up my mind. I have 2 in mind that are located in my area. I am going to give you the description of each so you can help me in deciding.
1. 2008 Volkswagen R32 with 6K miles. It looks super clean and is being offered by a dealer as a certified pre-oned car for 26K (negotiable obviously).
2. 2007 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT with 14K miles on it, also being offered as a certified preened car. This one looks very new, but with some stress noticeable on the seats. This one goes for 28K (negotiable aswel).

Both cars are super quick and sporty, probably the infiniti is a bit quicker 5.8 sec to 60 compared to 6.0 of the R32.(according to car and driver)
My concern is in the depreciation of the car. The G35 is a very common car, and there are hundreds for sale, also there is the new G37, making the resale value of the G35 lower. Moreover, inifnity is always updating their model line , which makes the car decline in value.
On the other hand, the R32 seems to hold value very good and there are only 5000 in the U.S ( 3 for sale in my area). The car has a certain “cult” status, making it cooler some how. Aslo, probably still 2 or 3 more years until the MkVI R32 makes it to the U.S.
I would have to trade the car model 2007 vs 2008 and higher millage 14K vs 6K, since the G35 was a more expensive car when new

I know it’s lots of info, but i’m very confused on my next car purchase.

Thanks,
Daniel

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.imess.net

Q: Which holds their value better, a Cadillac or an Infiniti?
6 months ago, I traded my awesome Cadillac STS, 1994 in towards another car, a 2003 Infiniti g35.
I miss my car still, the Infiniti is just too small it seems. So I went looking today, and I found a Cad DTS for sale at a dealership.
I can swap them and it will raise my payment by 18.00 a month.
I`m so tempted, but I keep thinking about why I traded my Cad in the first place, it seems when they get around 100,00+ on them, they start falling apart. I took great care of it, but it was costing me money left and right, it also had that great oil leak the Northstars are known for.
My step-dad talked me into the Infiniti, he used to sell them and thinks they are good for 200,00+ as the motors are excellent.
Since I`ve had it, minor little things are breaking. The power window is off track, the cd player doesn`t work, trim coming off, but the oil looks brand new. (the rest of the thing might fall apart around me, BUT THE MOTOR IS GREAT!)
I`m just wondering if I am better off keeping it and getting used to the size, or go ahead and get the Cad.

A: Regardless of which car you prefer to drive – an Infiniti will hold it’s value much better than a Cadillac will.

Q: How do maintenance representatives at an Infiniti dealer get paid?
I never take my car (Infiniti G35) to the dealer for maintenance because I can get it done for cheaper elsewhere. However, I have a brake problem that is under warranty. How does a maintenance representative at a dealer get paid? I know they are supposed to “build relationships” with customers so we’ll bring our cars in for every service. Therefore, I would assume they are on comission.

The reason I ask is I’m in sales and I feel like it’s bad karma to waste another salesperson’s time, and I feel like I’m wasting their time by only taking my car in for problems under warranty. Am I right to feel that way?

A: It all depends on the dealer. Some are paid an hourly wage only. Others receive commissions on services sold.

This is for dealers in general. I’m not sure if Infiniti has a corporate policy that covers this.

I wouldn’t feel bad about taking it in just for warranty issues by the way. The dealer will get paid for the job and the part by Nissan/Infiniti. Warranty jobs are usually not money-losers for dealers.

Q: Im Buying a New Car any ideas?
I currently have a 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe and the lease is up next month (April) . I have been looking around and I want some thing in the price range of about $35,000-$50,000 depending on the car I have thought about a used Porsche 911 and I like the new Audi TT-S but I don’t know when its supposed to be for sale I want some thing 2 door coupe sporty and preferably fast no American cars. Any Suggestions

A: What about the New Audi A5? I just ordered one. It drives amazing and is probably the most beautiful car I have ever seen. It will be at the top of your budget, but it will be worth it. The BMW 335i Coupe would also be worth looking. The BMW is stupid fast and looks are killer. It is a big upgrade from the Infiniti. I would not recommend the new Infiniti G35 Coupe because it has a sand-box sized trunk and doesn’t grip the road too well.
