Q: anyone know who makes 2009/2010 minivan or SUV with rear seat retractable sunroof?
I’m researching for an independent film and need to find a family vehicle – like a minivan, SUV or wagon-hatchback that has a retractable rear seat sun/moonroof – Meaning the sunroof has to open completely and allow things stick out the roof of the car. The model or make is not important – Anyone have any ideas?
A: MERCEDES ML350 , BMW X5 , MERCEDES B200 T HAS NICE ONE
FORD EDGE THE LOADED ONE
GMC ENVOY THEY HAVE ONE JUST LIKE WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR
Q: What is the best minivan to get at this time? Is this a good time to get a good deal?
Looking to buy a new 2010 minivan within the next month or so. I want quality, comfort, and convenience. I hope to buy at the right time and get a good deal.
If you currently own a fairly new minivan and love it please share your thoughts especially!!!!!
Thanks!
A: Sienna.
its safe and a toyota.
it will last you forever..
my mom had hers for almost 12 years and just sold it..
Q: Which minivan is best? (All are 2010)?
Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, Dodge Grand Caravan, Nissan Quest, Chrysler Town and Country, Kia Sedona, or Volkswagon Routan?
A: Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town and Country and Volkswagon Routan are pretty much similar.
We used to own 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SE and it was not good. It had poor interior and very little HP(175 horsepower 3.3L), it was also not great on gas. It had constant issues with brakes and suspension. It was just terrible…
Chrysler Town and Country is not bad but transmission is same as Dodge and it won’t last long.
Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna are great minivans. My friend owns a Honda Odyssey and it is amazing compared to the Chrysler. It is far more superior. But odyssey and sienna are very expensive.
I’m not too familiar with kia sedona.
Q: Why is there a bad smell from my minivan air condition right after I turn it on?
I got the van brand new last Sep 2009 and didn’t use the a/c all winter. I turned it on during some warm days this spring 2010 and immediately there’s a bad smell coming out. I thought this happens when freon is about to run out – but I got this brand new 7 months ago. Thanks for your all your answers.
A: If it’s a “musty” smell, it could be a build up of moisture/mold. If you run the AC on “recirculate” only, moisure builds up in the system and mold can grow. If the build-up isn’t bad, you can usually fix it by running your system with the AC “on” and the vents set to “fresh air.” After several hours of operation, this should dry out the system. If there is a lot of mold build-up or if moisture has caused some of the ducting to rot, you may have to get professional cleaning or repair.
In the future, it’s a good idea to only run the AC on “recirculate” until the temp reaches a comfortable level and then run it on “fresh air”…
If it is a burnt or “oily” smell, there could be a problem under the hood. If your car is leaking oil, for example, and it hits hot metal on the engine, that smell wil carry into the passenger compartment via the vents.
Q: Is a Sienna or Odyssey 2009 or 2010 hybrid coming out soon?
I really want to save fuel and have a minivan that has 7 to 8 people.
A: Most automakers are rather tight-lipped about upcoming hybridization plans to current models.
For now, if you want a hybrid minivan, you’ll have to either move to Japan or be willing to import a used one from there. Toyota in Japan has been selling a hybrid version of the Estima minivan (called the Previa back when the gasoline version was sold in the US) since the 2001 model year and a hybrid version of the Alphard minivan since the 2004 model year.
http://toyota.jp/estimahybrid/index.html
http://toyota.jp/alphardhybrid/index.html (I think the Alphard is undergoing a redesign this year…)
For now in the US, you can search by fuel economy by the class of “minivans” through: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/byclass.htm
The Mazda 5 manual is the best in class at 22mpg city/28 mpg highway/24mpg combined, followed by the Mazda 5 automatic at 21mpg city/27mpg highway/23mpg combined.
Q: which car should i get for my first car i am 16 and have had no wreaks. i don’t want a minivan?
no wreaks and i want to have something “kool” i have the good grades discount. i was wanting a 2010 camaro, or a mustang.
A: It should be 4-door, 4-cyls, not sporty. I would prefer Honda or Toyota… First time drivers usually have much more expensive car insurance, and it depends from car. You should compare insurance rates while choosing the car – for example here – carquotes.imess.net
Q: what is the different between honda odessey EX, EXL, AND LX?
I am planing on buying a family car, but know nothing about cars, specially minivan.
we are in 2010, so I think it would help if I have the best idea which one to get for about $10k. thank you
A: You would have to buy used. EX-L is the highest and LX is the lowest. They are trim levels, some have features standard that others have optional.
Q: which is better — 2010 honda oddysey or 2010 honda pilot for new car purchase?
i just need spacious interior and leather seats. Which of the 2 would be more affordable or are they around same price? if around same price, which is better choice? i’m lookin for SUV or minivan. it doesn’t really matter what company it is but i heard a lot of praise about honda
A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here – carquotes.fateback.com
Q: What type of car would you classify this as?
http://kiaborregophiladelphia.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/kia_borrego_limited_image001.jpg
I know it’s a kia borrego it’s not exactly a minivan or a truck but it sit higher than most other cars and
has adequate trunk space when you fold down the seats in the back what other cars are like this?
A: It’s a cross-over…..
Q: Hip hop club in vegas in may 2010?
Help! My friends and I are going to rent a minivan to vegas, there’s 8 girls and wonder if there’s any good hip hop clubs in vegas?? Since we are all girls, is there a guestlist also??
Thanks!!
A: Girls never pay to get in clubs. Promoters are usually hanging around the club and on the strip in the evenings and if they see a group of girls they will approach you and ask to put you on their list. There are also people on the strip with nightclub passes. The passes are free but they wants tips. The passes are good. I use them every time I go to Vegas. The best clubs for hip hop music is Jet (Mirage), Tao (Venetian), Lavo (Palazzo), and Poetry (Caesars). Poetry has a large African-American crowd. The other clubs I listed have a very diverse crowd. I’m hoping to get there in May also. Have Fun!
Q: 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe?
When will this vehicle be available at dealerships? I honestly can’t wait to get my hands on one.
My father has a 2003 and it has only needed scheduled maintenance. And last week, there was a huge wreck here in Dallas between a new Santa Fe and a Honda Odyssey minivan. Everyone in the Odyssey was tragically killed. Both passengers in the Santa Fe walked away. This cemented it for me: the Santa Fe is the SUV for me and soon-to-be baby.
Now I just need to know when I can get my hands on one! The bigger my belly gets, the smaller my 2008 Elantra (which I adore) feels!
A: I maximum 2 weeks from now, all dealers across Canada and the US should have them on the lot. This must happen sooner rather than later. No 09 Santa FE available. Hyundai can’t afford not to have them on the lot. I just had a discussion today with Hyundai rep. regarding the arrival of new Santa Fe’s. Just be patience and you will soon be able to enjoy the ride and safety of a new SANTA FE.
Q: What are people gonna remember this past era from 2000-2010 for?
Like the 1950s are remembered fro rocknroll, bluejeans cuffed at ankles, black converse shoes, tucked in button down shirts, or tucked in white t’s. hair slicked back. Girls with the long dresses with that dog logo on them, and the kids hanging at diners.
the 60s were similar, but they dressed different, guys wore alot of shirts buttoned down un tucked, with bellbottom jeans, and they all had long hair, and some with beards. Girls had the big hair, others had really really long hair. And the 60s were basically known for hippies, peace, vietnam. And marijuana became introduced to many, and all the other drugs. Woodstock, was also a big part of 60s, and some of the greatest music we have ever heard, like jimie hendrix, british invasion-with the beatles, clapton, the who, rolling stones ect.
70s were all about disco, more laid back music led zepplin, kiss the styles were disco platform shoes, the bellbottoms, guys wore short shorts, and still the bellbottoms, the afro was popular, white guys had the signature 70s hair cuts, not that long like 60s, but they had kinda like bowl cuts. And cars were a big obsesion.
80s- the 80s had there own distinct music style, hewie louis and the news, the eagles, metallica, guys had mullets, or longer hair styles spikes too. wore straight fit tighter jeans with the wierdest colors, all faded, and loved lether jackets, and jean jackets. Girls had the high hair, same colors in jeans, but a very different hair style that the 60s 70s 50s never had. Back to the future, and other sci-fi movies very popular, or even quantum leap ,And many situation comedy shows like full house, Alf, cheers, knightrider ect. BUt the automobiles of the 80s were bad qualitys and didnt have much style compared to 60s 70s. I mean really, the minivan being introduced to the world, station wagins popular, and cars just rusted easily. Also the famous hig five.
90s- the 90s had similar things to 80s, the fanny packs were popular, guys had had similar styles but changed the hair slightly had the middle part, the slick back, the mushroom cut, bowl cuts. Many girls dropped the hair back down a little and the man cut became popluar alot of girls with short hair, and alot of pony tails. And hip-hop gets introduced and becomes very popular, along with the post-grundge rock music. The 90s had a different home setting too, with the home entertainment center, and tv. A lot of adult cartoons also are introduced, simpsons, family guy well it was ‘99, southpark, king of the hill.Plus internet.
2000-2009?? what do you think we will remember this era for also whats it called the 2000s?
Maybe baggy pants? flatbrim capps, darker colored jeans, or torn jeans, faded out. DC shoes, basketball shoes. A lot of reality game shows, like survivor, biggest loser, american idol, bachelor. What else will the 2000s be remembered for?
?
A: I think the thing im going to remember most is terrorism. Changing the way we think about war and about our country.
Q: best car rental san francisco?
Looking at minivan rentals in June 2010 and shocked at the prices. If I’m going to pay that much, which rental agency at SFO has the fewest headaches? There will be 2 adults and 4 kids, 2 car seats needed. TIA, -S
A: My preference would be National. I would join their Emerald Club – it speeds up your rental experience and you get to select your vehicle from the minivan aisle.
In addition you may consider taking your car seats with you. Most airlines will check them for free plus they are generally much better seats than you will get from the rental company. It will also save you quite a bit of money.
If this is not an option you may also look at Hertz. They often have rental deals for that include car seats especially for AAA members.
Personally I would rent from the cheapest major provider as most of the big eight are fairly good. Look for discounts and keep checking as rates often change. Join the frequent renter club as it will speed up your rental check out.
Q: Why do people put big rims on ANY kind of car?
Im not hating on big rims, some cars can pull it off if they have the right customizations (IE paint jobs, vinlys) but i think it also depends on the model of the car…
i see a lot of people like to buy cars that make them look like “ballas”
Dodge Charger/Magnum
Chrysler 300’s
Lincoln Navigators
Ford Expeditions
Chevy Tahoe/GMC Yukon
Infiniti G35/G37
Caddillac Escalades
Cadillac CTS
Most old two door muscle cars from the 70s and 80s can pull of the big rims of 20 inches or bigger like the Chevy Monte Carlo
But dont people ahve the sense to know what cars dont look good with giant rims examples
Nissan Altimas (i own a 2003 model, stock rims)
Chrysler Concordes
Toyota Camry’s (the 2007-2010 model in particular)
Any minivan
Any Ford Taurus
Chevy Cavaliers or Cobalts
Dodge Stratus/ Chrysler Sebring
Dont get me wrong, Im all for customizing your car and truly making it your own, but i dont think rims are always the way to go, especially rims bigger then 20 inches, only big cars can pull those off, mid size cars and small cars, and minivans especially can not pull them off. But why is it that so many people INSIST on putting giant rims on these kinds of cars
Im not against custom rims on smaller cars, but i dont think people should go so big.
Why do people do this, their cars look stupid now?
As for the bigger cars I listed, big rims can go beautifully with the right paint scheme and car, saw beautiful Chrysler 300 that had chrome 24’s and was painted a deep purple with gold sparkles
altmas can pull of 18 inch rims, the se-r models comes standard with them
A: trying to keep up with the next guy is my guess….i think they all look retarded but i guess they have a right to free expression even if they ruin their ride. my truck looks good with 22.5s on it but its a kenworth.
Q: 1988 Used Jaguar XJS for $5000, is this a good deal?

right now I drive around my parents old minivan
I am just looking around for a used car
can you guys check out the jag, you know more than me:
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=p&car_id=246266113&dealer_id=62770871&car_year=1988&rdm=1250514581308&num_records=25&systime=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=1981&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=used&distance=25&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&showZipError=y&make=&keywords_display=&color=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=0&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&seller_type=b&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=29715&advanced=&end_year=2010&doors=&transmission=&max_price=5000&cardist=9&standard=false&rdpage=thumb
A: no and no
one: for $5,000 you can buy a car from 1998 not 1988
two: jaguars are very very expensive to own and repair
three: they break down more often than other vehicles in this class
don’t buy a jaguar or a Land Rover ever.
