Q: Will buying a used Pontiac G6 today be more expensive in the long run?
I’m thinking about buying either a used Pontiac G6 or a Chevy Impala but before I decide I was wondering if anyone knew if perhaps since G6 production was officially shut down this month that maintenance in the future will be more expansive for a G6?

A: a g6 is the same as a chevy cobalt, all parts are interchangeable except some body parts like the front grills, even though production is shut down parts have to be available for the next twenty years

Q: Aproximatly how much would a used 2006 Pontiac G6 cost?
I dont know much more, like the how many miles are used or anything but i saw this car on one of my walks that was for sale and i really liked it but I have a price range.

A: Condition, Mileage and Options are the biggest factors in determining the value of a used vehicle in your market. And you don’t have enough info here to even make a guess. Have the car checked out by a trusted mechanic before you buy, and do your homework. KBB is one source, but I’ve seen them be WAY off (both high and low).

The car itself seems to be pretty good generally, but you might want to look into purchasing an extended warranty.

Good Luck!

Q: buying a used 06 pontiac g6?
i love the look of pontiacs. ive always wanted one. this is my first car. its a used 2006 pontiac g6. victory red. 60,000 miles. even though pontiacs are no longer being made, would i be a good buy? price at its high: 9500. i could bring it down too. would the parts to repair anything be a lot more expensive? does anyone have anything to say about them?

A: That price is a bit high you should be able to get it for around $8000. The 2006 does not have a powertrain warranty on it like a 2007 or newer.Parts and repairs wont go up on it. It will be like Oldsmobile I can still get parts and fix them. The G6 is a great car I would buy it if they come down on the price some more.

Q: I just bought this used pontiac g6 GPT coupe but i don’t have the money to let someone pay for it…?
i want to do it myself but i don’t know how

A: ok thats great!!! do what? exactly?

Q: i bought a used car pontiac g6 , but it has to much mileage but i signed a paper saying that i cant return?
the car . or something like the what can i do??? to returned

A: There are NO RETURNS! There is no federal law requiring a car dealer or a person selling a car to take a car back. The only exceptions are certain transactions in California that are covered by the California Car Buyers Bill of Rights or where the dealer voluntarily offers to take a car back. Dealers may describe the right to cancel as a “cooling-off” period, a money-back guarantee or a “no questions asked” return policy. Before you purchase from a dealer, ask about the dealer’s return policy, get it in writing in the contract and read it carefully.

Q: Pontiac G6 USED 2007?
I purchased a 2007 Pontiac G6 with 25,000 miles on it. it was a program car. i have had it for about 3 days and so far i love it. the price was 15,838. did i make a wise choice or wasit foolish. i am great with care and maintence, i have a 2001 dodge ram and havent had any trouble yet. i just needed a car to go to the city in and make it easier on gas and pocket money. anything i should be ware of or come to expect.
I have warranty till 60,000 and can get another 10,000 onces im close to the 60,000 mile mark

A: Whether or not you got a good deal depends on the options and condition of the car you purchased. Not enough info to make that determination!

I would guess that you are a car guy, and as such I doubt you got hosed. The 2007 somes with 5 year / 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, Roadside Assistance, etc. As you like it, I think you did OK…

Good luck!

Q: Bought a used Pontica G6…good.. bad…?

PONTIAC… sorry
Have bad credit bc i was a teen with a credit card and great credit………..i got what i could with what i gave myself

A: If you are happy with hte car then it was a wise choice. I`m curious though you could have bought the new Dodge Avenger for not much more and gotten a lifetime warranty. So why didnt you look at it? You had good luck with your ram.

Q: has anyone ever used a suunto G6 golf watch and if you did what do you think of it?

A: Sorry…I have never used nor heard of this watch. Good Luck

Q: I just bought a 2009 Used Pontiac G6 it came with just the keys, how do i get a remote?.?
my family and i are thinking the guy before us just didnt hand in the remote. how can i tell? it has power locks and how can i tell if it has a security system
How can i tell i have a security system. and my car has power locks so do i just buy a key remote. how does it work. but i really need to know how to figure out if it has a security system.

A: Most GM vehicles are now coming “program ready”. If it didn’t come with remotes when the car was new,it might be able to have remotes programmed to it. Take your VIN number to a dealer and they can look it up.

Q: can you use a cannon G6 digital camera with differnent lens?
So i am really getting interested in digital photography!!! I love it and i currently have a cannon G6 digital camera which i belive is right below the Canon digital rebel but just not slr maybe. Any ways i want to start using the nicer lens but am not sure if i can. I know i can take the lens cap off to do a wide angle lens.

But i want to start to use the really nice zoom lens and such for nature photography and what not. Does anyone know if i can do that with the G6, and any suggestions on a good one that does not cost like 3 grand lol!!

A: For around $145 you can use a Canon add-on lens to extend your reach from 140mm to 245mm:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=Search&A=details&Q=&sku=262141&is=REG&addedTroughType=search
(That’s $100 for the lens + $45 for the LA-DC58D adapter.)
That might provide enough zoom do do what you want.
If not, your options are to get a mega-zoom point & shoot, like the Canon S3 (which would be a step up in terms of zoom reach, but a step back in every other sense), or to upgrade to a dSLR (with a small lens collection that gets pretty expensive!).

Q: I am considering buying a dodge stratus or maybe a pontiac grand am or G6. I want something slightly used.?
Does anyone know which of these cars would be better?

A: Well the best deal you will find, will be for a Dodge Stratus.

You should be able to find a 6 month old Stratus with less than 25,000 miles for around $10,500 .

Go look at Rental car companies.

Hertz, Avis, Budget.

They keep the best conditioned rentals and return the rest to the dealers.

They then sell these rentals themselves.

And since the Dodge Stratus is one of the most used rental cars, there are a whole lot of them for sale, which means they sell them cheaper.

Thats how I bought my current car, a Ford Contour.

I bought it from a Budget Dealer and paid $3,000 under Blue Book for it. It only had 23,000 miles on it and was in perfect condition.

Now the G6 is a better car than the Stratus, but your not gonna find the deals on them, as you would a Stratus.

Forget the Pontiac, they look nice, but Pontiacs have always had mechnicial problems.

Q: Pontiac G6 I am interested in this car used. Your thoughts on the car?
It did not get the best reviews by consumer reports but I like the style

A: Consumer Reports does not like many other vehicles besides Honda and Toyota. If it is a car you like them go for it. I have heard that Honda and Toyota give large amounts of money to Consumer Reports. My Girlfriend has a g6, and it is a great car. No problems at all. She traded in her 2003 civic for it. And likes the g6 much more.

Q: What is the bar-coded key code (Tag) that comes with keys to new vehicle, and what exactly is it used for?
I know that it is used to make a new key, but there are numbers and a barcode. Does this code hold infromation about the program chip inside the key? The owners manual states that if you lose your key that one can be made easily at your dealer with this tag. Well I need a new key for my car, the key its self is 33.95, but they want to charge 100.00 to program the key- doesnt it seem like the barcode would have infromation about the previous key? This vehicle is a 2007 pontiac G6 Sedan. Please someone that knows about this help me out. They act like this piece of infromation (the barcode tag) is nothing important, but if its not inmportant then why, tell you in the owners manual to put it in a safe place incase you lose your keys!

A: The bar code is a ‘part number’ for the blank key.

the other printed number is a key code.
the code is deciphered to tell a keymaker how to cut a key.

You should keep the key code in case you need a key cut.
The key that is cut will not start your car unless the chip inside the key is programed to the ignition
Programing the chip has absolutely nothing to do with the barcode or the other numbers.
But if somebody else had those other numbers, they could have a key made to get into your car.

The $100 to program a key is legit, only if you only have 1 key. They have to put your car on a computer to program a key

However, if you already have 2 keys & you want to program an extra one (just in case) you can do it yourself. Read your owners manual. It tells you how.(at least the Fords work that way….. it could be different with GM keys…but I doubt it)
But you can only do this if you have 2 keys,

Hope I haven’t confused you more!?
